Eastside Views

Wednesday, August 26, 2009. On Tuesday I was lucky enough to take a trip to the Lost River Alpaca Farm. View, but a beautiful place about 2 hours North of the Eastside. My group from the Redmond Senior Center and I met the farm owners Linda and Alan. We saw and interacted with their beautiful alpacas. I also purchased some gorgeous alpaca roving to spin. I like to spin in the winter when the weather is cool and I plan to knit some beautiful hats when done spinning.

Knock My Sox Off

Sunday, May 10, 2009. One of my hobbies is called Driftwood Art. I have been taking this class for about five years. We use is called the LuRon. The wood we use is what is called found wood. Mostly driftwood but also wood that is found in the forest. First, the wood is cleaned by washing with a garden hose to remove any loose debris. Then it is further cleaned. Originally the process was taught to the founder. Want to see more? .
